From the Manufacturer The ClearPack Shock Absorbing Lanyard features single-leg construction and an internal dual-band of elastic that expands from 4-1/2-feet to 6-feet which helps to minimize tripping hazards. This lanyard utilizes 1-1/4-inch tubular polyester webbing for resistance to UV light and abrasion with a tensile strength of 6,000 pounds. A clear PVC cover protects the shock absorber and allows for easy inspection. This SAL also features double-locking snap hooks at the attachment and anchorage ends. ClearPack Shock Absorbing Lanyards are the bench-mark in lanyard design. This shock absorber utilizes a tear-away webbing which, when deployed in a fall, literally tears itself in half to dissipate the forces. It utilizes a lightweight, high strength polyester webbing as a back-up to ensure that it arrests the fall. The shock is covered with a clear PVC shrink tubing to allow for a simple yet thorough inspection of the pack before each use. The Shock Absorbing Lanyard is the active component of a Personal Fall Arrest System. In the event of a fall, a Shock Absorbing Lanyard will not only arrest the fall, preventing you from hitting the next lower level, they will reduce the forces of impact on your body. All of our lanyards are designed to meet or exceed applicable OSHA and ANSI standards.
